OpenAir St.Gallen, a multi-genre music event in the Sitter Valley west of Saint Gallen, Switzerland, is one of Europe’s premier events.
Festival-goers can expect to see some of the most celebrated rock, pop, indie, and electronic musicians from across the world perform over the course of four days amid Switzerland’s striking north-eastern terrain.
While several European festivals have followed its lead, OpenAir St.Gallen has pioneered a new way to experience live music: from the comfort of your own tent, surrounded by breathtaking Swiss scenery.

The INTRO – A Brand New Stage of OpenAir St. Gallen
INTRO, a new stage at the event is a perfect combination of OpenAir St. Gallen’s promotional strategy, Travel to Switzerland fresh musical formats, and scrumptious food and drink menu.
The stage in the venue with room for 800 to 1,000 people is specifically for those attendees who enjoy being swept away by the latest in musical innovation.
Music from the “Musig uf de Gass” slot, as well as from Switzerland and Europe’s rising stars from the ETEP label, will be showcased on this stage.
The Sitterbühne – One of the Most Popular Stages of the Event
This is the site’s largest stage, “The Sitterbühne”. Top acts from the festival perform in front of as many as 25,000 people. In honour of the Sitter River, which flows through the event venue, the stage is named after it.
Many well-known performers have already used it as a stage to set the mood for the entire event!
The main stage’s lineup kicks off on Friday afternoon; no bands are scheduled to perform on Thursday. The Sittertobel is transformed into a dance floor on Friday and Saturday by an electronic performance.

The Star Stage – A Platform for Upcoming Bands
Among the performers on the Star stage are a number of up-and-coming hip bands. It’s a tent stage that can hold up to 5000 people at a time. Before they were adults, a number of artists performed on this stage.
It also serves as a stepping stone for national artists who want to perform on the sitter stage.
The Sternenbühne will open its doors for business on Thursday night with a show. In addition, the show runs late into the night, so the final acts don’t finish until 3 a.m.
The Design Village – A Hub of Regionality & Sustainability
Designers from Switzerland exhibit their work in a miniature container hamlet called The Design Village.
Sustainability and regionality are key themes in the works, which are self-made and created in small batches. Everything from handmade jewellery to vintage clothes to ethically sourced accessories may be found here.
The Campfire Stage – An Intimate Setting
Swiss Fleisch’s Campfire Stage offers a slightly different festival concert experience in an unobtrusive manner and with a campfire vibe.
To unwind, there’ll be a roaring campfire and cervelats on sticks, as well as special live performances by a variety of musicians. A tiny festival section has been erected, complete with covered seating, a wine bar, and a beer stand.
Open Mic Sessions – For Young Artists
At OpenAir St.Gallen, the Open Mic Sessions on Saturday have become a cult favourite and a vital element of the programme.
Under the slogan “The subtle difference,” “Swiss Meat” delivers a pleasant presence at the most prominent Swiss music festivals with the “Campfire Stage” and provides a stage for young Swiss artists.
The Day Dance – Dance and Enjoy to Your Heart’s Content
Refresh yourself in the sitters with a daytime dance in your swimming trunks. People party and dance on the banks of the Sitter for three days to electronic music. After good seasons in the military canteen and the Lokremise, Au Revoir is now shifting their focus to the Sittertobel with this programme.
“Reduce to the max” is the motto of Au revoir which means that the emphasis is on the necessities, such as a shade sail, world-class DJs, a bar with a variety of cool beverages, and a DJ booth. OpenAir St.Gallen will host this event for the first time in 2022!
The Village and The Club
The core of “THE VILLAGE” is “THE CLUB,” which includes a photo booth, make-up stations, a virtual reality experience, and a lounge. A wonderful sound and a great time until the wee hours of the morning are provided by well-known DJs.
